As the Privacy Compliance Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping ESO’s privacy policy and ensuring ESO’s adherence to privacy regulations. Collaborating closely with all departments, especially with the security team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining data protection agreements and employee privacy policies. What You’ll Be Doing – the day-to-day:
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing data protection agreements to ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations.
- Developing and implementing employee privacy policies that align with the latest regulatory standards.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to privacy regulations across all departments.
- Providing strategic recommendations to enhance ESO’s privacy practices, staying ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends.
- Acting as ESO’s designated privacy officer, supporting the company in privacy-related matters.
- Working with the security team to integrate security considerations into ESO’s privacy policy.
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams on privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) as required.
Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role:
- 4 – 6 years of experience in privacy compliance, data protection, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations in Europe and the U.S.
- Experience drafting and negotiating data protection agreements.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence senior management.
- Experience working closely with security teams to ensure privacy is embedded in all processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Who You Are – it’s desirable if you have any of the following:
- Experience acting as a data protection officer or privacy officer in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with privacy management tools and platforms.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
