ESO Acquires Digital Innovation, Partners with DICORP To Drive Trauma Registry Innovation

Deal will help improve speed and data sharing around time-sensitive emergencies to improve patient outcomes

AUSTIN, Texas, December 10, 2019ESO, the leading data and software company serving emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments and hospitals, today announced its acquisition of Digital Innovation and the establishment of an ongoing partnership with DICORP to continue to drive trauma registry innovation. ESO is building an interconnected, data-driven ecosystem that provides critical insights and analytics across the prehospital and hospital settings to improve patient outcomes and provider safety. By acquiring Digital Innovation and working closely with DICORP, ESO will apply its data-driven expertise in related markets to provide richer and deeper insights to its customers and the industry that will improve communication, collaboration and responsiveness to time-sensitive emergencies and events.

“ESO is a leader in the collection and analysis of prehospital-to-hospital data,” said John Kutcher, CEO of DICORP. “We’re excited for DI to be part of an organization that understands the value of integrating systems to create rich datasets that will ultimately improve patient safety and patient outcomes across the healthcare spectrum. We look forward to continuing our groundbreaking efforts as ESO and DICORP work together to move the industry forward.”

Digital Innovation has been serving customers with its award-winning software for more than 30 years with a series of products – including V5 Trauma Registry – to capture essential data as it relates to trauma registries.

“We are excited about this acquisition and partnership, in addition to our acquisitions of Clinical Data Management and Lancet Technology,” said Chris Dillie, President and CEO of ESO. “Our mission is to improve community health and safety through the power of data. We realize what a game changer it will be to leverage our comprehensive data set to look critically at time-sensitive emergencies from 911 call to leaving the hospital. The collaborative communication between hospital and EMS is essential for improved patient care, and we will now be able to automate the flow of data from EMS into hospital registries.”
