A Letter From Chris Dillie

Dear Colleagues,

After investing my heart and soul into ESO for almost two decades, I’ve decided to transition from CEO to Executive Board Chair at the start of July.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the trust and support so many of you have shown me throughout the years. It has been an absolute honor to lead ESO, and I am truly humbled by the opportunity to have supported an industry I deeply care about.

Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to help move our industry forward through the power of aggregated data. I am confident this mission will remain at the core of our company’s values and endeavors. The progress we have made together has been remarkable, and I have no doubt we will achieve even greater heights under the capable leadership of Eric Beck and our leadership team.

When I asked Eric Beck to join the team last year, it was my plan to make this transition. Eric and I have known each other for nearly a decade. He isn’t new to ESO, serving on the ESO Board of Directors for eight years. I’ve known Eric is the right next leader for ESO for quite some time. As a former firefighter, paramedic, medical director, ED physician, and hospital administrator, Eric shares my passion for our mission of improving community health and safety through the power of data. Eric’s time as President of ESO over the past year has solidified my decision. I’ve watched him lead our teams, work with our customers, and navigate the daily difficult decisions leaders face.

In addition to Eric’s leadership as CEO, I have complete faith in our executive and senior leadership teams, who guide our company’s day-to-day operations. Their expertise and dedication are unmatched, and I am confident they will continue leading our organization with the utmost care and passion. I couldn’t be prouder of our more than 700 team members (and those that came before them) dedicated to our mission. They have taken my dreams for ESO and made them a reality.

As I enter this new chapter, I look forward to spending more time with my family. They’ve supported me as I chased my dreams through countless business trips, late days, and a distracted mind. I’m excited to transition to family trips, time with friends, and being a more present husband and dad. That said, I’m not going away. As Executive Board Chair, I will focus more on supporting our leadership team, strategic initiatives, and long-term growth strategies for ESO.

I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the time we have spent together over the years. The relationships I have formed over the past two decades have been the highlight of this incredible journey. ESO has been my passion for the past twenty years. The journey from a coffee shop in Austin to where we are today is one of the greatest joys of my life. Whenever I see a research paper powered by ESO’s insights, I feel a deep sense of pride and fulfillment.

Once again, thank you for everything. I look forward to witnessing our company’s continued success and growth and am excited about the future.

My best,

Chris
