How You’ll Support Our Mission
The Communications Manager is a key driver of clear, consistent, and engaging internal programs and communication across the organization. This role ensures employees are informed, aligned, and connected to the company’s mission, values, and strategic direction. Working cross-functionally with departments like marketing, HR, IT, and executive leadership, the Communications Manager will lead efforts to build a strong internal culture while also supporting select external initiatives that highlight our industry impact and data-driven approach.
The role reports to the Director of Brand and Content.
What You’ll Be Doing - the day to day
Internal Communications (Primary Focus – 80%):
- Managing internal communication systems such as the company intranet, newsletters, and executive updates.
- Managing internal engagement program, such as town halls, company meetings, and supporting content.
- Writing and editing content that keeps employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company goals.
- Partnering with HR, IT, and leadership to deliver messaging around company initiatives, culture, recruiting, and change management.
- Maintaining editorial calendars and ensuring timely distribution of content.
- Gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve internal messaging effectiveness.
External Communications Support (Social Media and PR – 20%):
- Assisting with the planning, writing, and scheduling of social media content – especially on LinkedIn and other B2B-focused platforms.
- Collaborating with Marketing and PR teams on brand-aligned storytelling and campaigns.
- Supporting external events or thought leadership opportunities with messaging and communications support.
Who You Are:
You're a proactive communicator who knows how to keep things running smoothly inside an organization while also engaging the world outside. Your background likely includes:
- 4–6 years of experience in internal communications, corporate comms, or a hybrid communications role.
- A strong content creator (storyboards, writing, and/or editing) with a knack for turning complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
- Experienced in using communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms. Bonus if you have experience using Simplrr as an Internal Intranet tool.
- Experienced in using other content creation platforms, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Premiere.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player who’s comfortable working cross-functionally across departments.
