FAQ

What are the benefits of upgrading to ESO?

ESO offers a modern platform that is user friendly, secure, and designed for the industry by people from the industry. You won’t get just a vendor – you’ll get a true partnership with ESO.

What are the differences between Emergency Reporting and ESO?

We’ve combined the best features from Emergency Reporting with the power of Fire RMS into one powerful, intuitive platform. Request a demo to learn more.

Will you receive any training or support for ESO?

In addition to the standard onboarding through ESO, this one-station solution includes a year of ESO On-Demand Learning, which features video walkthroughs, guided training, and so much more within the platform.

Will there be any disruption in the service during the transition process?

ESO can set up your ESO system with your Emergency Reporting information without impacting your current system or processes – ensuring there is no disruption to your team during the upgrade switch.

How long will the upgrade process take?

Due to the large number of agencies upgrading, it can take up to 120 days to prepare your department’s environment. We recommend allowing 180 days to plan, enable the system, migrate data, and train your teams.

Will the new platform offer better security and data backup options?

The ESO suite is supported by a 40-member network and security team that employs best practices from healthcare and financial tech to manage data security, including threat modeling, penetration monitoring and ensuring systems are up-to-date with the latest patching and defense systems.

What will happen to your data from the old platform?

Our engineers created a process that will move your data from Emergency Reporting to ESO without manual data input into spreadsheets. To make the transition smooth, we do ask that you take care of a few housekeeping items on your end first. Watch this video to learn more.

What is the contract term for ESO, and what happens if we don’t like ESO?

ESO contracts are set up to automatically renew annually but can be cancelled with notice prior to renewal.
