“One of the best things about Auto-Generated Narratives is the consistency. Not everybody can be good at everything, and report writing is one of those things. Auto-Generated Narratives really help to build narratives instead of just saying, ‘I came, I saw, I transported.’ There’s so much more to patient care when it comes to narratives.”

– Shannon Burkemper, Chief Medical Officer at Lincoln County Ambulance District

Wow! There’s just so much good about [Auto-Generated Narratives].

One, I think, is consistency. I’m going to say that is probably one of the best things about it. Not everybody can be good at everything, and report writing is one of them. I think that this really helps to build the narratives instead of the, you know, I came, I saw, I transported.

There’s so much more to patient care when it comes to narratives.  I think that [Auto-Generated Narratives] bridged it, and it’s fantastic. It saves a lot of time with our crews getting back and being able to select that button because they’re already doing all the other fields. Right? Whenever they get back and they hit that button, they’re able to get their narrative.

They read it. You know, I bet it saves everybody at least 20 minutes on a normal run, but that time goes up with a more complex call. They work for 48 hours, they go home for four days, and then they come back for 48 hours.

If I’m catching things on that fourth day, I have to wait until they come back to get that fixed. Spelling errors are huge, and AI does a fabulous job of spelling. So, we’ve done really well with that.

Most of the time, we’re not working on reports all the way to the hospital. [Auto-Generated Narratives] is turning their patient care reports around quicker and getting those back because, as everybody knows, ePCRs are very much part of your patient care.

Getting those done on time is just as important. It is definitely safer for them. They’re not having to work on the reports, and typing a narrative on their way back.

You know – MVAs and airbags deploying – you don’t want anything on your crew member’s lap. So there’s a safety component, and I highly recommend anything with ESO.

You can tell by the products themselves that they take the time and the energy to make it work for us.

How can we afford this? [ESO’s] product kind of proves that you almost can’t afford not to have it. It catches so much stuff. I just – I can’t even say how much I love ESO.
