As People Experience Generalist, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a workplace where our employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.

Reporting to the Senior People Experience Manager based in Northern Ireland, this 14 month parental leave cover role will focus on ensuring a seamless employee experience—from onboarding new talent to supporting key HR processes that help our teams thrive.

You’ll be a trusted partner to employees and managers, providing expert HR guidance while championing a culture of inclusion, well-being, and continuous growth. Your work will help create an environment where our people can focus on what they do best, making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

In this role, you will provide guidance and practical solutions to enhance employee engagement, promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, drive organisational growth and ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations in our Czech Republic (Prague and Pilsen) and Denmark locations.

What You’ll Be Doing – the day to day

•    Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing proactive guidance and support on HR-related matters.
•    Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including conducting local onboarding sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems, supporting effective HR operations while ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
•    Collaborate with the payroll team to facilitate smooth payroll processing year-end processing, and compliance reporting.
•    Implement and manage health and safety initiatives to foster a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting employee well-being.

•    Track and document all forms of leave, including sickness absence, maternity leave, paternity leave, etc.
•    Lead disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies and legal standards.
•    Assist in the development, update, and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization. 
•    Contribute to the development and promotion of workplace culture and morale initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
•    Oversee the termination process, analyse exit interviews to gather feedback and insights, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

 

Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role: 
•    4+ years’ experience in a People/HR Generalist or similar HR role
•    Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and procedures, employment law, compliance, and industry standards in Czech Republic
•    Experience working with eSchranka (data box communication with state institutions)
•    Experience with benefits administration and liaising with payroll 
•    Knowledge of performance enablement processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development initiatives. 
•    Experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. 
•    Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles 
•    Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes in HR. 
•    Exceptional communication and collaboration skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy 
•    Fluent in written and spoken English. 
•    Strong Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint in particular) 
•    Experience using HRIS platforms 
•    Willingness to travel to other offices in Czechia as required, while being based in one of our Czech offices.

 


Who You Are – it’s desirable if you have any of the following:
•    Knowledge of Danish employment law
•    Experience of ADP
•    Ability to speak and write fluently in Czech, in addition to English, to effectively communicate across the team and with local stakeholders.
